These practical, field-tested methods fit well into your daily maintenance workflow and take very little extra time each shift.
Pre-work safety checks before dust removal
Always disconnect the full power supply of the furnace system first, and confirm that the outer shell and all exposed metal surfaces have cooled down completely to room temperature. Put on a standard dust mask and safety goggles to avoid inhaling fine floating dust that may stir up during the process. Lay a thick dry towel on the ground directly under the area you will clean, so any falling dust and small debris will not spread to the surrounding floor or nearby equipment. Double check that no operation program is running in the background of the control panel, to make sure the whole system stays completely static while you work.
Routine wiping for outer shell and control panel
Start with the control panel first, use a dry soft microfiber cloth to wipe the surface of the display, buttons and operation knobs gently. For dust that accumulates in the narrow gaps between buttons, use the narrow nozzle of a portable vacuum to suck it out slowly, never press hard on the sensitive electronic components. Then move to the outer metal shell, wipe from top to bottom with a lightly dampened clean cloth, make sure no water drips into the edge gaps of the shell or the hidden ventilation openings.
